Local Outreach
Dedicated to educational outreach, I have used my love for insects and pollinators to connect with and inspire others.
I developed a website for my local Pollinator Working Group and am helping them orchestrate a Pollinator Summit to increase public awareness of the importance of native pollinators.

Hands-on Conservation
When you are really passionate about something, it is not enough to just think about it or talk about it you have to do something about it.
For years I have worked on pollinator habitat restoration and more recently I have experimented with developing an environmentally friendly pollinator monitoring system which holds bees in a cold chamber so they can be kept alive, photographed, and released to help monitor diversity and populations without as much insect death.

Pollinators are not the only wildlife needing help. I have also been engaged in helping give people hands-on tools to help make their yards more wildlife friendly.
